Brighten Up A Basement Bathroom with Geometric Tile

How to brighten a basement bathroom:

  • đź”” Choose a fun tile! And pay attention to little details, like using black grout and black @schlutersystemsna strip at the edges.

  • 🌻 Don't be afraid of dark colors! The black tile floor contrasts sharply with the light gray walls and white tile, creating visual separation and a perspectival trick pushing the floor plane away from the ceiling plane. In other words, it creates visual depth and space!

  • 🙏 Make sure your lighting is on point: choose the correct color temperature, and make sure to light surfaces, not space.

  • đź’– Tie finishes together: white oak for both the vanity and the medicine cabinet, black tile/grout/Schluter, white tile/fixtures/counter, chrome for all metal.

  • đźš‚ Mirrors are your friend! Get a big one.

🔥 Long story short, just because there's no natural light doesn't mean we can't have some fun! Small rooms present lots of opportunities, especially bathrooms. 🛠️❤️- Marilyn
